Chickadee Pivot: Fractional Product Work

We’ve #pivoted.

68 problem discovery conversations, 35 solution invalidation discussions, 4 product roadmaps realigned (including our own), 2 six-figure proposals sent, 3 paid clients helped. Writing it out makes the last 3 months feel like less of a blur.

What did we learn?

Building is much easier than ever. Like, orders of magnitude easier than ever. And it’s getting easier every day. By “easier” I mean “faster to go from discovery to delivery”. But… with this great power comes the responsibility to discern even more than before the right thing to build. Just because it’s possible to sprint ahead doesn’t mean we should, & with the amount of AI slop, shipping faster doesn’t mean shipping to waiting users. People are tired.

Knowing the right thing to build is still hard.
Telling the right story is still hard.
Building great products is still hard.

We’ll call this for our selfish purposes Product Strategy.

So that’s where we’re spending our time.

What are we doing about it?

We’ve honed & codified our actual offering a bit (#pivot).

We offer Fractional Head of Product work for founders ready to narrow their focus & share the burden of big-P Product. I love working with founders & entrepreneurs - especially in GovTech & SaaS - & enjoy working on interesting problems with amazing teams of people.

Back to being selfish, this is an opportunity to align our passion with what we do best.
